A: The vast majority of Townships will require a permit.

Q: Are there any special requirements where I can place my above ground pool?

A: Yes, each Township has set back codes which requires your pool to be a certain number of feet from the rear and sides of your property and from your house.

Q: Do I need a fence around my above ground pool?

A: Usually if your property does not have a fence that meets Municipal codes, you will need to have a fence around the top perimeter of your pool and a ladder enclosure around the steps going into your pool. Always check with your local zoning official concerning what is legal with barriers.

Q: What are the electrical requirements for an above ground pool?

A: The pool must be bonded and grounded and you will need a 110/20 amp dedicated electric line.

Q: Is there a lot of grading to assemble an above ground pool?

A: This depends on your lot. Most yards the grading is within six inches, but if your yard slopes, additional grading will be required to make it level.

Q: Do I have to use chlorine in my pool?

A: No, there are alternatives to an all chlorine based pool that will eliminate the chlorine odor.

Q: How long does it take to install an above ground pool?

A: Most above ground pools can be installed in one day.
